personal knowledge management
on personal knowledge management
a lot of note-taking or personal knowledge systems stay personal.
they get well-organized. carefully tagged. endlessly nested.
but they rarely leave the house.
i’ve built them. all the tools. all the methods.
at some point, the system becomes the work.
but then i started writing differently.
not for notes. not for myself. just to think out loud — in public.
now i use a static site generator. no cloud, no sync, no notifications.
i write one idea per file. i tag them, link them, publish them.
some get refined. some get cited. some generate income.
but all of them go somewhere.
they become part of a system that touches the world —
not just organizes it.
this is still personal knowledge.
it’s just not only for me anymore.
